Beltana Station
Beltana Station (incorporating Puttapa Station) covers nearly half a million acres and is a fully working sheep and cattle station. Beltana station was first surveyed in 1854 and has played a part in South Australia's early history.
There are three four-wheel drive tracks through the station taking is such sights as Lake Torrens, Mount Deception, Puttapa Springs, Old Beltana town and much more - self-drive or tag-a-long (by appointment). Beltana Station's location means most places in the northern Flinders are accessible for day trips, such as Wilpena Pound, Blinman, Parachilna, Leigh Creek and Historic Beltana.
Accommodation consists of historic shearers quarters (circa 1860), which has 11 lockable, comfortable rooms, a fully equipped kitchen and large dining room. Amenities are shared. If you are caravanning or camping, we also encourage you to try our facilities. There is also a three bedroom cottage sleeping eight to 10 people comfortably.
