Wirrealpa Station Shearers Quarters
Wirrealpa Station is a 1,650 square kilometre sheep and cattle station situated on the east side of the Flinders Ranges.
The Shearers Quarters were built in 1860 and still retain their authentic charm, with a wood stove (gas stove too) in the kitchen and dining tables in the adjoining dining room. There are nine bedrooms sleeping up to 21 people, one bedroom has a double bed, while all other beds are single. The Quarters are powered by our integrated solar/generator system and all bedrooms have fans. Bathroom facilities are shared and the communal kitchen and dining facilities are fully self-contained and include barbecue facilities.
One of Wirrealpa's most unique attractions is the vast look of the outback plains from the Flinders Ranges. Its location creates a diverse range of flora and fauna common to the area. It has world-class fossil locations, the Grindstone Range and Aboriginal carvings.
