Peggy's Retreat
Peggy’s Retreat is nestled on nine acres of tree studded pastoral land in the Southern Flinders Range; 20 kilometres north of Jamestown and 21 kilometres south of Peterborough. This original pastoral homestead was built in the late 1890's and has been extensively renovated and extended.
Relaxation and rejuvenation are the unashamed goals of Peggy’s Retreat, with good food and good wine offered along with accommodation for up to eight people in two queen size ensuite room and one full access suite with ensuite, queen size bedroom and double sitting/carers room.
Located 20 minutes to the north is the historic railway town of Peterborough with the Steamtown Rail Heritage Museum. Bundaleer Forest, Australia's first forest plantation south of Jamestown is just 25 minutes away.
The Clare Valley, historic Burra and the Mount Remarkable National Park are all within an hours' drive of Peggy's Retreat.

ACCESS SUITERoom three contains a fully sprung quality double sofa bed. This may be used by a carer, extra family members, or simply as a private sitting room. Room four contains a queen sized bed and other furnishings which can be removed if maximum space is required for mobility aides. Rooms three and four have an internal connecting door. Television is available in both of these rooms on request. Both rooms have individual reverse cycle split system air conditioners and remote operated ceiling fans and lights. Through a door to room three is the purpose built, fully tiled, full access shower ensuite with plenty of room to manoeuvre. All doorways have been widened to full access standards. Light switches have been lowered to be accessible from a wheelchair. An external door to the ensuite allows for convenient private wheelchair access. QUEEN ROOMQueen Rooms are equipped with a reverse cycle split system air conditioner, remote operated ceiling fan and light, queen size beds with quality linen and fully tiled ensuite shower room. Televison is available in rooms on request. Room one is a spacious west facing room with romantic 'sunset' views. Room two faces north with lovely 'blue hills' views. All rooms have ample power outlets. Rooms also have hanging and drawers storage. | |
