Canunda National Park
Canunda National Park conserves a spectacular 40 kilometre stretch of coastline.
The park offers an amazing diversity of scenery from limestone cliffs, sea stacks, offshore reefs and low scrub in the north, to mobile sand dunes and beaches further south.
Bushwalking, four-wheel driving, camping, diving and fishing are all popular recreational activities.
The Coola Outstation Historical Hike is also worth a look. This hike meanders through wetlands and coastal dunes passing the ruins of a historic homestead. The trail passes through an area of Dryland Tea-tree known as the 'Singing Forest', where picnic facilities are available, and continues along the edge of Lake Bonney returning to the carpark.
Four-wheel drive enthusiasts can access to the entire length of the park. The main entry points are via Millicent, Southend and Carpenter Rocks. Conventional vehicles can explore the far northern section of Canunda, Coola Outstation and Oil Rig Square to the coast.
