Mount Gambier Crater Lakes Walking Trails
The Mount Gambier Crater Lakes walking trails are an extensive range of signposted trails, located within the extinct volcanic crater lakes of Mount Gambier. All trails offer interesting walks of discovery to suit all ages and levels of fitness.
Walks include: Blue Lake Circuit - three point six kilometres, time one hour, grade easy, Leg of Mutton Lake - one point six kilometres, time 45 minutes, grade easy, Mountain Trail - four point two kilometres, time four point five hours, grade moderate, Pepperpot Trail - one point seven kilometres, time one hour, grade easy. Three short walks are Blue Gum, Browns Lake and The Oaks.
Tours visiting Mount Gambier are available departing from Adelaide and all other States of Australia. Local city tours also available.
There are many short walks in this beautiful area including Valley Lake Walk, Blue Gum Walk and The Oaks Walk.
A detailed booklet on each walk is available from the Lady Nelson Visitor and Discovery Centre, Jubilee Highway East, Mount Gambier for a small charge.
