Adventure Tours Australia operate five, seven, eight, nine and nineteen day adventure tours.
Our tours are an active, physical adventure camping experience - no more demanding than a reasonably fit person would enjoy. You will be camping each night and group participation is a feature of all our tours. Each passenger has a tent and swag, as well as the use of a sleeping bag if requested.

19 Day Perth to Darwin SafariHighlights: Pinnacles, Kalbarri National Park, Monkey Mia, Ningaloo Reef, Karijini National Park & Miracle Mile, Broome, Cable Beach, Windjana Gorge, Tunnel Creek, Gibb River Road, Kimberley Gorges, Bungle Bungle NP, Kununurra, Lake Arygle Attention: This tour is only for fit and active people, who can hike 5-9 kilometres a day over uneven terrain, often in high temperatures. Temperatures can be extreme: very high during summer days and very cold during winter nights. Adventure Tours reserves the right to assess the fitness capability of passengers prior to tour departure. Tour is not suitable for children. Due to the remote nature of the Kimberley region we use bush camps with limited facilities on some nights. There is a strict luggage limit of 15 kilograms per person, in a backpack or soft bag. Day 1 – Perth to Kalbarri We travel north through the fascinating landscape of the Nambung National Park and check out the thousands of limestone pillars at The Pinnacles. We break for lunch in the relaxed fishing township of Dongara then continue on to Kalbarri National Park to explore the spectacular gorges. Overnight Kalbarri. (LD) Day 2 – Kalbarri to Monkey Mia This morning we visit the Murchison River Gorge and explore The Loop, Natures Window and Z-Bend Gorge where we may have time for a swim. After lunch we head to shark Bay World Heritage area and Monkey Mia for a chance to meet the friendly wild dolphins. Overnight at Monkey Mia Resort. (BLD) Day 3 – Monkey Mia to Coral Bay Spend the morning at Monkey Mia enjoying the option of a morning sail on a luxury catamaran (at own expense). We call in at beautiful Shell Beach and then visit the stromatolites. We continue on via Canarvon, to Coral Bay where we stay overnight. (BLD) Day 4 – Coral Bay The entire day is spent snorkelling the famous Ningaloo Reef accessible from Coral Bay's white sandy beach. Alternatively, you can choose one of the many optional activities including quad biking, coral viewing cruises and scuba diving. Overnight at Coral Bay. (BLD) Day 5 – Coral Bay to Exmouth Today we explore the Cape Range National Park. Hike around the red rock walls of the gorge for stunning views at Yardie Creek and take a dip or relax on the beach at picturesque Turquoise Bay. Overnight Exmouth. (BLD) Day 6 – Exmouth to Karijini NP We head towards Karijini National Park, calling in at the mining town of Tom Price to pick up supplies. In the afternoon, we hike into Joffre Falls for a swim. We head to camp for a hearty dinner. Overnight camp at Karijini. (BLD) Day 7 – Karijini NP – Miracle Mile We start the day at Oxer Lookout then take on the challenge of the ‘The Miracle Mile'. This hike includes inching over ledges, squeezing through deep chasms, climbing rock walls, swimming in fresh water rock pools as we head through Hancock Gorge, Weano Gorge and Junction Pool. In the afternoon visit the Karijini Cultural Centre. Overnight Karijini. (BLD) Day 8 – Karijini NP – Indee Station An early start for a hike along the top of Dales Gorge, down to Circular Pool, on to Fortesque Falls to finishing with a refreshing swim at picturesque Fern Pool. Leaving Karijini, we head to Indee Station for overnight camp. (BLD) Day 9 – Indee Station to Broome Today we pass through Port Hedland, then cross the Great Sandy Desert. Have a quick swim or look for shells at Eighty Mile Beach before arriving in Broome for sunset at Cable Beach. (BL) Dorm accommodation in Broome for 3 nights is included. Days 10 & 11 - Broome Two full days at your leisure to relax and explore Broome and prepare for our next eight days of adventure! Accommodation included, meals at own expense. Day 12 – Broome to Windjana Gorge We begin our adventure travelling from Broome to Derby to visit the famous Boab Prison Tree. Then we tackle the punishing Gibb River Road on our way to Tunnel Creek to wade through the icy underground stream, explore the fossilised reef wall and view the wildlife Windjana Gorge, before settling into our overnight campsite. (LD) Day 13 – Gibb River Road & Gorges This morning we experience the splendour of the King Leopold Range before we hike into the unique Bell Gorge taking time for a relaxing and refreshing swim. Overnight bush camp. (BLD) Day 14 – Gibb River Road & Gorges Time for swimming and walking as we explore some of the striking gorges - maybe Barnett, Manning, Adcock or Galvins, depending on the time of year. Overnight bush camp. (BLD) Day 15 – Gibb River Road to Parry Farm We continue down the Gibb River Road, travelling through some ancient and spectacular gorges. We then cross the Pentecost River and head into the famous El Questro Station, walking into the beautiful Cockburn Ranges for a swim under the waterfall at Emma Gorge. We continue to Wyndham and call in at Five Rivers Lookout before heading to our overnight camp at Diggers Rest or Parry Farm. (BLD) Day 16 – Parry Farm to Bungle Bungles We start the day visiting the bird watchers paradise of Marlgu Billabong and admire the awesome views of the Carr Boyd and Durack Ranges as we head to Turkey Creek. Next it's time to buckle up and hold on for the challenging 4WD trip into the Bungle Bungle (Purnululu) National Park and our overnight bush camp. (BLD) Day 17 – Bungle Bungle NP We spend a full day exploring the unusual rock formations of the Bungle Bungles Ranges. We visit the unique Frog Hole, the breathtaking Echidna Chasm and the magnificent Cathedral Gorge, with an optional scenic helicopter flight (at own expense) over the Bungles before heading to our overnight bush camp. (BLD) Day 18 - Bungle Bungle NP to WA Border After driving back through the impressive ranges we pause to explore Kununurra, the town of the Ord River Scheme and the scenic Hidden Valley National Park before enjoying the sunset at Lake Argyle. (BLD) Day 19 – WA Border to Darwin Leaving Western Australia, we travel through the small historic town of Timber Creek, enjoying the picturesque Gregory National Park and the Victoria River escarpment. Enjoy a swim and lunch in Katherine before arriving in Darwin. We travel further south through Port Hedland checking out the enormous piles of iron ore and salt, before setting up camp at a remote sheep and cattle property, Indee Station. Tonight, sample some traditional Aussie damper baked in the hot coals of our campfire. (LD) Day 2 – Indee Station to Karijini National Park This morning we make our way to the remote but spectacular Karijini National Park where we spend the next three days exploring the ancient gorges and swimming in emerald coloured rock pools. The Karijini experience is all about adventure and after lunch, we lace up our hiking boots and walk down to Fern Pool, passing through Circular Pool, Dales Gorge and Fortesque Falls, where you will be rewarded with a refreshing swim. Overnight camp in Karijini (BLD) Day 3 – Karijini National Park & ‘Miracle Mile' We start the day at Oxer Lookout, checking out Junction Pool where 4 gorges meet, then take on the challenge of the ‘The Miracle Mile'. This adventurous hike includes inching your way over ledges, squeezing through deep chasms eroded billions of years ago, climbing banded iron rock walls and swimming in fresh water rock pools and takes us through Hancock Gorge, Weano Gorge and Junction Pool. In the afternoon we give our legs a well-earned rest and visit the Karijini Cultural Centre, which is full of local and Aboriginal information. Overnight camp in Karijini (BLD) Day 4 – Karijini National Park – Pilbara - Exmouth Up early for a hike into beautiful Joffre Gorge, an unusually carved wall forming a natural amphitheatre. After the rain, you may be lucky enough to see the almost 100 metre waterfall cascading down the rock face. Leaving Karijini behind, we call in at the unique mining town of Tom Price before travelling through the vast bush land of the Pilbara region on our way to Exmouth and our overnight camp. (BLD) Day 5 – Exmouth to Coral Bay & Ningaloo Reef This morning we explore the Cape Range National Park. Take a dip or relax on the beach at picturesque Turquoise Bay and hike around the red rock walls of the gorge for stunning views at Yardie Creek. Overnight at Coral Bay. (BLD) Day 6 – Coral Bay Spend the entire day snorkelling the famous Ningaloo Reef accessible from Coral Bay's white sandy beach. Alternatively, you can choose one of the many optional activities including quad biking, coral viewing cruises and scuba diving. Overnight at Coral Bay. (BLD) Day 7 – Coral Bay to Monkey Mia We call in at unique Shell Beach before continuing on to Monkey Mia where we have fun with the friendly local dolphins. Overnight at Monkey Mia Resort. (BLD) Day 8 – Monkey Mia to Kalbarri National Park Heading into the Shark Bay World Heritage area, we stop to be amazed by the stromatolites – the oldest living organisms in the world - on our way to beautiful Hawks Head. We spend the afternoon hiking and exploring the spectacular layered sandstone gorges (Z Bend & Natures Window) of Kalbarri National Park before heading to our overnight camp. (BLD) Day 9 – Kalbarri National Park to Perth Departing the coastal gorges of the Kalbarri National Park, we head to the picturesque seaside town of Dongara before travelling south through the fascinating landscape of the Nambung National Park and checking out the famous Pinnacles. Then we make our way to Perth arriving in the early evening. Leaving Karijini, we travel to Auski and then commence our journey along the Great Northern Highway through the heart of Western Australia, camping this evening in the historic gold mining town of Meekatharra. (BLD) Day 9 – Meekatharra – Perth Today we travel through the historical townships of Cue, Mt Magnet and Payne's Find, viewing (in season) endless fields of wildflowers, turn of the century architecture and the classic long red roads of Australia, arriving late afternoon into Perth. Any passenger not physically capable of this must wait behind for the rest of the group • Package is a combination tour; therefore you may travel with a different guide and passengers during both sections. 9 Day Perth to Broome SafariHighlights: Pinnacles, Kalbarri National Park, Monkey Mia, Coral Bay, Ningaloo Reef, Karijini National Park, Miracle Mile, Cable Beach Day 1 – Perth to Kalbarri We travel north through the fascinating landscape of the Nambung National Park and check out the thousands of limestone pillars at The Pinnacles. We break for lunch in the relaxed fishing township of Dongara then continue on to Kalbarri National Park to explore the spectacular gorges. Overnight Kalbarri. (LD) Day 2 – Kalbarri to Monkey Mia This morning we visit the Murchison River Gorge and explore The Loop, Natures Window and Z-Bend Gorge where we may have time for a swim. After lunch we head to shark Bay World Heritage area and Monkey Mia for a chance to meet the friendly wild dolphins. Overnight at Monkey Mia Resort. (BLD) Day 3 – Monkey Mia to Coral Bay Spend the morning at Monkey Mia enjoying the option of a morning sail on a luxury catamaran (at own expense). We call in at beautiful Shell Beach and then visit the stromatolites. We continue on via Canarvon, to Coral Bay where we stay overnight. (BLD) Day 4 – Coral Bay The entire day is spent snorkelling the famous Ningaloo Reef accessible from Coral Bay's white sandy beach. Alternatively, you can choose one of the many optional activities including quad biking, coral viewing cruises and scuba diving. Overnight at Coral Bay. (BLD) Day 5 – Coral Bay to Exmouth Today we explore the Cape Range National Park. Hike around the red rock walls of the gorge for stunning views at Yardie Creek and take a dip or relax on the beach at picturesque Turquoise Bay. Overnight Exmouth. (BLD) Day 6 – Exmouth to Karijini National Park We head towards Karijini National Park, calling in at the mining town of Tom Price to pick up supplies. In the afternoon, we hike into Joffre Falls for a swim. We head to camp for a hearty dinner. Overnight camp at Karijini. (BLD) Day 7 – Karijini National Park – Miracle Mile We start the day at Oxer Lookout then take on the challenge of the ‘The Miracle Mile'. This hike includes inching over ledges, squeezing through deep chasms, climbing rock walls, swimming in fresh water rock pools as we head through Hancock Gorge, Weano Gorge and Junction Pool. In the afternoon visit the Karijini Cultural Centre. Overnight Karijini. (BLD) Day 8 – Karijini National Park – Indee Station An early start for a hike along the top of Dales Gorge, down to Circular Pool, on to Fortesque Falls and finishing with a refreshing swim at picturesque Fern Pool. Leaving Karijini, we head to Indee Station for overnight camp. (BLD) Day 9 – Indee Station to Broome Today we pass through Port Hedland, then cross the Great Sandy Desert. Have a quick swim or look for shells at Eighty Mile Beach before arriving in Broome for sunset at Cable Beach.
