Moonta Tourist Office

The Moonta Tourist Office is located in the former Moonta Railway Station. Built in 1909 and set in spacious grounds, this beautiful old building is one of several built throughout the state of the same design, including the Wallaroo Railway Station.

Open seven days a week from 9am to 5pm, visitors have access to information on attractions, accommodation, community services and special events in Moonta and the surrounding areas. Souvenirs are available and the town’s World War One German town trophy gun is also on display in the grounds of the Old Railway Station.

Ample car, coach and caravan parking available and public toilets (including disabled toilets) are on site. Bookings and enquiries can be taken for individual and group tours to: the Moonta Mines Museum, the Moonta Mines Tourist Railway, the Wheal Hughes Copper Mine and the Miners Cottage and Garden.
