Stansbury Museum

The Stansbury Museum, situated in the original school and headmaster’s residence, offers a series of comprehensive displays showcasing the history and industry of the town.

Collections on display include dolls, clocks, rocks, bottles and cameras as well as a dress room, while other rooms within the museum have been refurbished to recreate the region’s early times. Those wishing to explore the history of the region more thoroughly may also wish to visit the reading/research room which holds a collection of cemetery records and other reference material. RSL (Returned Services League) memorabilia and a shared Legacy Walk are also on display.

Outside, visitors can admire the museums collection of farming utensils, engines, a scale model of Riddle Windmill and much more.

The museum is open daily during January and tours are available by prior arrangement.
