Hamlet Downs offers serviced and self-contained accommodation and is located in Fentonbury, in Tasmania’s south.
Hamlet Downs is situated near Mt Field National Park, Maydena and the South West Wilderness area, and offers four star serviced apartments or self contained accommodation and fabulous meals.
Guest bedrooms have ensuite or private bathrooms with their own lounge room, dining room and outside verandas. Cooked breakfasts are available and a dinner menu featuring our own seasonal produce is offered.
Overflowing beds of cottage flowers intermingle with native plants. These lead to an orchard and a series of water ponds surrounded by a walking track where you may see our platypus. Nocturnal wildlife is abundant and native species often seen. Bird watching is a must with many species seen in summer.
If you are travelling between Hobart and Strahan, Hamlet Downs is the perfect stopover to refresh before continuing on your journey. Relax, have a great meal using our own produce, enjoy a walk here or at the Russell Falls in the Mount Field National Park, or have a relaxing drink at the cafe next to the Tyenna River.
Fentonbury is a one-hour and nine minute (68 kilometre, 42 mile) drive west of Hobart.
