New Norfolk Caravan Park
New Norfolk Caravan Park is located on the river esplanade at New Norfolk, Tasmania.
New Norfolk Caravan Park has 22 camp sites, 17 powered site, two cabins and one on-site van, so you can stay in a cabin or on-site van, or bring your own van or tent.
There are barbeque and camp kitchen facilities, kiosk, boat ramp, laundry facilities, public telephone and car parking. The cabins have television, electric blankets and tea and coffee making facilities.
The serene Derwent River flows past this quiet campground surrounded by leafy parkland. The whole river here is a wildlife reserve, a safe resting place for waterbirds. Follow the peaceful path to the wetlands nature park around the bend in the river, or stroll into the town for shops, a drink or meal in the old Bush Inn or a devonshire tea in one of the charming colonial houses. Browse through the museum and the fine pottery and crafts at The Oast House, and have a snack in its delightful cafe.
Tour the picturesque Derwent Valley lined by hop fields and pastures, thrill to the jet boat ride on the rapids upstream and take life a little more slowly.
