Teez Cafe and Lookout
Teez Cafe and Lookout is located at Tarraleah in Tasmania's central highlands and offers superb views.
It is a great place to break the journey whilst on the Hobart – Strahan touring route, voted “One of Australia’s Top Ten drives”. Guests may admire the views back to Mount Wellington and beyond whilst enjoying home-made food and real coffee. There is a range of interesting things to see and do whilst visiting the location.
Activities include helping to feed our gentle Highland cattle or take a guided wildlife walk and spot wombats, Tasmanian devils, echidnas, platypus and wallaby.
One of Tasmania’s great short walks is on the Estate and takes you through temperate rainforest, along an elevated tree walk, to our waterfall and suspended viewing platform.
Stay a little longer in one of our stunning Art deco holiday cottages or sensibly priced apartments in the former schoolhouse, or spoil yourself at The Lodge.
Guided activities, unique tours, walks, wildlife, pioneering history and wilderness are all on your doorstep. Play golf, squash, use the gym, go trout fishing, mountain biking, secret lake kayaking and spot over 80 different species of birds all on the Estate.
Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays until 31 August 08
