Waddamana Power Station Museum

The Waddamana Power Station in Tasmania's central highlands is now a fascinating hydro-electric museum. It is a tribute to the beginning of integrated hydro-electric development in Tasmania, featuring an array of machinery, memorabilia, photographs and artefacts.
In 1916 electricity generated by harnessing the power of falling water " hydro-electricity", first came to Hobart from Waddamana Power Station.
Tours can be booked for groups of 10 people or more .
Accommodation is available at Waddamana Village, built to accommodate workers who constructed Waddamana.
Open daily 10am to 4pm excluding Christmas Day and Good Friday.
