The Mole Creek Hotel is near the Great Western Tiers on the edge of the World Heritage Cradle Mountain and Walls of Jerusalem National Parks. Nearby you can visit the limestone caves King Solomon and Marakoopa, the Trowunna Wildlife Park with its Tasmanian Devil education and research centre.
The walls of the public bar displays murals of Tasmanian tigers up to all sorts of mischief sip a cold beer and read the vast collection of newspaper clippings telling of tiger sightings in the surrounding Mersey Valley. Or pull up a stool at the bar where the stories of the locals get taller as the night progresses.
