Mount Roland View olive farm offers self-contained chalet accommodation in picturesque Cradle Country, Lower Barrington. The fully equipped, two-bedroom chalet sleeps up to five (two doubles and a single) and has ample parking. Pets are welcome and guests can fish in the farm's own rainbow trout stocked dam. In addition to its 1600 olive trees the farm has cattle, horses, goats and hens as well as many native species, including platypus in the dam.
Situated close to Devonport with its ferry terminal and airport and to Sheffield, the town of murals, Mount Roland View is ideally situated for exploring central north Tasmania and affords quick access to the international rowing centre at Lake Barrington. Breath taking views, visits to award-winning vineyards, fishing, walking and fine dining are amongst the many attractions of the region. The wild life covered, scenic Nut at Stanley, the splendours of the ocean at Boat Harbour and Port Sorell, the vistas of Cradle Mountain and Dove Lake, the shops of Launceston are all within easy reach.
Mount Roland View offers you ready access to local produce, from wine to cherries, cheese to chocolate, smoked salmon to honey; all is there to visit and sample.
