Nearby you can watch penguins coming ashore at dusk to feed their young. Explore the beautiful beaches, lush green farmlands, forests and mountains a short drive away. Follow the bushwalking and horse riding trails in the Dial Range behind the town. Dial Range Reserve and Gunns Plains Caves are a few minutes away. The alpine lakes and peaks of Cradle Mountain National Park are within easy driving distance, 15 minutes to Burnie and 20 minutes to Devonport. Back in Penguin, play golf, bowls, tennis or skate at the skate board park.
