devils@cradle is a Tasmanian devil interpretation and viewing centre at Cradle Mountain, north west Tasmania. devils@cradle is 500 metres from the entrance to the Cradle Mountain national park on the Cradle View property, an hour’s drive south west of Devonport (83 kilometres).
You can experience an up-close encounter with Tasmanian devils at devils@cradle on a day or night tour. In the interpretation facility, your experienced guide will introduce you to the lifestyle of the alpine Tasmanian devil. You will then entering a custom-designed undercover viewing area for your encounter with the real thing. On your day tour you will see the devils sunbaking, sleeping in the dens or running around in their enclosures. Your guide will gently handle some of the devils during your tour, and there may be an opportunity for you to touch one. On an After Dark Feeding Tour the focus is on the social interactions and nocturnal feeding habits of these unique carnivores.
devils@cradle is committed to the conservation and protection of this now vulnerable species. The centre operates a successful captive breeding program, ensuring the ongoing survival of Tasmanian Devils in healthy numbers in the wild.
