Redwater Creek Railway

Redwater Creek Steam and Heritage Society in Sheffield operates steam train rides monthly. You can experience rail travel from yesteryear on the first full weekend of each month from the original Sheffield railway station. Trains run every half an hour from 1100 until 1600 on Saturday and Sunday. The Sheffield Station has been recently renovated to include a coffee shop. This is a community project operated entirely by volunteers.
1906 Krauss 60 centimetre gauge loco and Tasmanian heritage coaches - now in its hundredth year and still going strong!
Steam power looks even more impressive in cold, damp weather - don't put it off!
