Bicheno Backpackers Hostel
Bicheno Backpackers Hostel offers comfortable hostel-style accommodation at Bicheno on Tasmania’s east coast.
The hostel is located right in the centre of this seaside town. Accommodation varies from traditional bunkhouse to cosy private rooms and affordable family rooms. Base yourself at the hostel for a few days and explore the attractions and beauty of the east coast. Freycinet National Park, home to Wineglass Bay, is just a 30-minute drive away and Bicheno’s very own Douglas Apsley National Park is right on the doorstep. Visit the local nature park, East Coast Natureworld, wineries and seafood restaurants. Take a ride on the glass-bottom boat or spot fairy penguins in the evening. Activities include surfing, fishing, cycling, kayaking, walking, diving (all year round) and whale watching (seasonal). Surfboards and Kayaks are also available for hire.
All the facilities you would expect for a self-contained stay are provided. The Bicheno Backpackers Hostel is a small family-run accommodation centre that can offer you expert local knowledge and advice. You can also hire kayaks and surfboards from the hostel.
Bicheno is just over two-hours’ drive southeast of Launceston (174 kilometres/108 miles).
