Anchlia Cottage is a large cottage providing accommodation in Bicheno on Tasmania’s stunning east coast. Secluded among native gums, the cottage is just a few steps away from the ocean.
The cottage is divided into two separate accommodation areas, Cod Rock Terrace and Penguin Nook. The Cod Rock Terrace has three separate bedrooms, a large bathroom and fully equipped kitchen and laundry. It is appointed with a queen-size, double and single bed, accommodating five guests. There is a spacious dining area and comfortable lounge. The two-storey design offers an upstairs balcony with barbecue and downstairs verandah. The Penguin Nook has one bedroom and can sleep up to three guests. It has a self-catering kitchen, comfortable lounge and quaint dining nook. There is a sheltered barbecue area, laundry facilities and beautiful sea views through the garden.
Ease yourself into the day with a foreshore walk, then experience some of the local attractions. Visit the East Coast Birdlife and Animal Park and stop by an east coast winery. Explore Douglas Aplsey National Park or take a day trip to Freycinet National Park and marvel at Wineglass Bay. Laze on the beach and as the sun sets, watch the fairy penguins come ashore.
