Gumnut Lodge
Gumnut Lodge is a cosy ground floor studio unit in Bicheno on Tasmania’s east coast. The holiday haven is just a few minutes’ walk from sparkling sandy beaches.
The unit has a queen size bedroom and second room with bunk beds. Well suited to couples, the unit can accommodate up to four guests. There is a fully equipped kitchen with breakfast provisions as well as complimentary port and chocolates. In addition there is a bathroom and separate laundry facilities.
Bicheno is well known for its fairy penguin rookery. Book an evening tour and enjoy the penguins alongside experienced guides. Meet Tasmanian devils at Natureworld, visit local Douglas Apsley National Park or Freycinet National Park and Wineglass Bay only 40-minutes drive away. Walk into the town centre and enjoy the cafes and restaurants available. Plan a day trip or simply relax on the beach and enjoy the clear blue water. Book a fishing charter and try your luck at catching dinner before retreating to your cosy unit.
The lodge is centrally located along the picturesque east coast and an ideal touring base.
The town is just over two hours’ drive southeast of Launceston (174 kilometres/108 miles).
