Hazards Hideaway
Hazards Hideaway is a self-contained, waterfront retreat at Coles Bay on Tasmania’s east coast. Coles Bay is located on the Freycinet Peninsula, approximately two-and-a-half hours from Hobart (195 kilometres) and Launceston (175 kilometres).
Hazards Hideaway offers guests two separate sleeping houses, each with its own bathroom facilities. 'The Waterfront', has king-size and twin beds and 'The Boat House' has a queen-size bed. All bedrooms have ceiling fans and there is wood and electric heating. The property has a fully-equipped kitchen and there is also an outdoor barbecue area. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame views of Great Oyster Bay and the Hazards.
Hazards Hideaway is a few minutes’ walk to Swanwick Beach and Coles Bay is a five-minute drive away. You can visit Freycinet National Park and go bushwalking, climb the Hazards or walk to Wineglass Bay for a swim in the crystal clear ocean. Go sea kayaking, take a wildlife cruise or fishing trip and perhaps see whales during the annual migration (October-May).
Hazards Hideaway sits on rocky coastline overlooking Great Oyster Bay. Due to the proximity of the unfenced cliff, and the separate sleeping areas, the property is not suitable for young children.
