Lester Cottages Complex
Lester Cottages offers a range of self-contained accommodation at Swansea on Tasmania’s east coast. Swansea is a one-and-a-half hour drive from Hobart (134 kilometres) and Launceston (133 kilometres).
The two-storey, colonial-style Pine Cottage can accommodate up to six guests. There is one double and one single bed downstairs and an external staircase leads to a hayloft, which has a double bed and bathroom. The cottage has a slow combustion fire, fully-equipped kitchen and laundry facilities.
The Cedar Cottage accommodates up to six guests with one double and two single beds downstairs and a double bed on a mezzanine level. There is an open fireplace in the living area, a fully-equipped kitchen, and the bathroom has a claw foot bath and shower. The two Oak Suites each have a double ensuite bedroom, lounge, kitchenette and dining area and laundry facilities. The cottages and suites have barbecue areas and are set among gardens and hand-built dry stone walls. Breakfast provisions are supplied for all guests.
Local attractions include east coast wineries and a berry farm. Swansea is 45 minutes from the Freycinet National Park. Go bushwalking, climb the Hazards or walk to Wineglass Bay for a swim in the crystal clear ocean.
