Sheoaks on Freycinet
Sheoaks is a modern, waterfront bed and breakfast at Coles Bay, on Tasmania’s east coast. Coles Bay is a two-and-a-half hour drive from Hobart (212 kilometres) and two hours from Launceston (178 kilometres).
Sheoaks—custom-designed by one of Tasmania’s leading architects— combines modern and cottage-style décor to create a welcoming, beach-house feel. The property has three en suite bedrooms with queen or twin/king beds, a guest sitting room, dining room and outdoor deck, all with views of the Swan River Estuary or Great Oyster Bay. All the bedrooms are individually heated, and there is also a wood heater in the sitting room. Each morning, you can join other guests in the dining room or on the sunny deck for your cooked breakfast, which includes fresh Tasmanian produce. Packed lunches and luxury hampers are available and light snacks can also be provided. Evening meals, including barbecues and celebration meals, can also be arranged.
Sheoaks also manages four self-catering properties in Coles Bay. You can choose from a two-bedroom cottage (Ar lan y môr); three-bedroom houses (Moana View and Rumah Kita), or a three-bedroom family holiday house (Waterline at Freycinet).
