The Grape Escape offer a range of tours from full-day winery tours that include three or four one hour tours of large working vineyards and fine local cuisine, to gourmet dinner tours that include winery tours, tastings and an impressive gourmet dinner.
Corporate and small private tours can be arranged to suit your needs.
The Freycinet area on Tasmania’s east coast produces some of the island’s finest wines. The fertile soils and gentle, consistent temperatures of this picturesque region result in excellent cool-climate grapes that deliver outstandingly flavoured wines. In fact, there are seven inspiring vineyards, each with a story to tell, within an hour’s drive of Swansea, Coles Bay and Bicheno – the area’s three major towns
The best thing about taking a guided wine tour is that you have the chance to sample fine wines and indulge in gourmet food - with no driving worries. You will be transported to and from your accommodation in air- conditioned comfort.

Full Day Winery TourThe full-day winery tour visits three to four sites including a one-hour tour of a large award-winning working vineyard. You will visit some of the boutique wineries dedicated to providing wines to suit every individual taste and have the chance to tantalize your palate and savour the rich flavours of the region. Lunch is a range of fine local cuisine. Gourmet Dinner TourFor that special occasion or simply a night to remember indulge yourself, relax - you don't have to worry about driving. The Gourmet dinner tour includes a one hour winery tour, tastings and an impressive gourmet dinner featuring the finest local produce (alcohol extra). Alternatively, you can design your own tour in consultation with your guide. Your gourmet dinner is from 6:30 pm - 10:30 pm Private Small Group TourSelect from the vineyards available to you on our tours and we will ensure your experience is a memorable one. The region boasts seven exciting vineyards within an hour's drive from the Coles Bay, Bicheno areas. This is your opportunity to sample fine product at the cellar doors with no driving worries! You will be picked up and returned to your accommodation in Freycinet, Coles Bay, Bicheno or Swansea areas. Tours suitable for groups of six to 10 people. Small Corporate TourOur small corporate tours can be designed to suit your needs. For example a half day (three to four hours) tour includes a visit to two wineries, with morning or afternoon tea provided. The region boasts seven exciting vineyards within an hour's drive from the Coles Bay and Bicheno area. The vineyards grape varieties include pinot noir, chardonnay, riesling and cabernet. Small corporate tours operate with around six to 10 people. | |
