The Gables provides bed and breakfast and self-contained accommodation in tranquil Campbell Town, Tasmania. Rich with history, The Gables has a friendly country feel.
Bed and breakfast accommodation in the main house has bright, comfortable rooms. Built in 1924, it retains the Californian bungalow style of the time, with a deep porch and box bay windows. There are three guest rooms, each with its own art deco original features. All rooms have double beds and individual heating. Relax in a deep claw-foot bath in a private share bathroom. Dotted around the house are several of Bonnie Maloney's original paintings. The modern self-contained cottages give travellers total independence. Each has a double bed and folding couch that converts into twin beds. The cottages sleep four guests comfortably. There is a fully equipped kitchen and peaceful views out to neighbouring farmland.
Spend time in The Gables beautiful gardens, perfect for an early-morning stroll to sharpen the appetite for a fine breakfast. Wander the streets of Campbell Town past historic buildings dating from the 1820s. Cast for trout at Lake Leake and enjoy nearby Lost Falls while you are there.
Campbell town is about 45-minutes’ drive out of Launceston (70 kilometres/43 miles).
