Evandale Stables provides self-contained country accommodation in restored stables, located in Evandale, Tasmania. The romance of the horse-drawn era lingers at The Stables.
Three delightful cottages each have their own character. With a maximum occupancy of five guests in a cottage, there are a variety of room configurations available. Enjoy the modern facilities of central heating, a barbecue area and fully equipped kitchen for cooking your hearty breakfast provisions. Built in 1843 and National Trust listed, the award-winning cottages have been beautifully refurbished.
Relax as you stroll around the peaceful village, sampling the fine local food in quaint cafes. Wander through the antique shops and spend Sunday morning exploring the colourful weekly outdoor market. Fish for trout in the tree-lined local river, ski on the heights of nearby Ben Lomond or take a short drive to the splendid old houses abundant in the area. Plan your trip to incorporate the Penny Farthing Championships, held in February, and join the cheerful crowd. Spend an afternoon visiting the Tamar Valley and enjoy some of Tasmania’s finest cool climate wines.
