Mrs Currie's House B&B offers traditional bed and breakfast heritage accommodation at historic Richmond, Tasmania. Mrs Currie’s is a Heritage listed property c1820-1850.
Mrs Curries has four comfortable bedrooms tastefully furnished with antiques.
Two bedrooms have ensuite facilities, one has a queen-size bed the other a double. The other two bedrooms have private facilities, one with a double bed, the other with a double bed and single bed.
Enjoy relaxing and sipping a complimentary aperitif by the cosy log fires in the living and dining rooms.
Feast on a home-cooked gourmet breakfast before setting off to explore Richmond with its craft shops, cafes, maze, old Hobart town model village, and Richmond Gaol (c.1825). Then a wander along the river will take you to Australia’s oldest bridge, built by convict labour between 123-25, and while your there you can feed some of the resident ducks.
Richmond is just 20 minutes from Hobart and Hobart airport. It’s an ideal base for touring Hobart, the Tasman Peninsula with its spectacular coastline, soaring cliffs, natural formations and historic Port Arthur, the east coast with its unspoilt beaches and national parks, and if fishing is on your itinerary, the highland lakes will provide world-class fishing.
