The cabins are in a parkland setting a short walk from Risdon Cove where you can wander the riverbank and watch the black swans and ducks. There are views across River to Mt Wellington, and it is an easy drive across the Tasman Bridge into Hobart to explore. The Park is also on a bus route to the city, and is just 15 minutes’ drive from Hobart Airport, the historic village of Richmond and the wineries of the Coal River Valley. The closest restaurant is the Willow Tavern, which offers good counter meals, or you can take a picnic to the Risdon Brook Dam. It is also ideal if you are going to events at Elwick Racecourse, the Showgrounds or the Derwent Entertainment Centre.
