Historic Richmond and Ross Experience Tour

This historic journey takes us northwards across the Tasman Bridge to the quaint village of Richmond. Here we visit Australia's oldest bridge, the Gaol, St John's and St Luke's Churches. Rejoining the vehicle we continue onto Ross, one of Tasmania's finest heritage villages. We visit the Wool Centre where we can follow the history of the production of fine wool, as well as an historical exhibit on the history of the area. Ross was also home to the Female Factory where convict women were put to work sewing and laundering garments. Some 12,000 women were transported over the 50 year convict era. From Ross it is off to Campbell Town and the forest areas toward the coast at Swansea. We call in at Kate's Berry Farm with magnificent views across the bay. Maybe enjoy a local made ice-cream or taste the home made jams. Continuing down the coast we are met with outstanding views of the coastline and winter forest country as we journey back to Hobart.

    Hobart to Huon Explorer Tour

Departing your city hotel, we make our way around the historic Constitution Dock area, Salamanca Place and Battery Point before making our way toward the dry eucalypt forest areas. Travelling along the shores of the Huon River we pass through rural farming and grazing land. We pause briefly at the Wooden Boat Centre where we can observe first hand the manufacture of hand built wooden craft by master craftsman. Continuing on we climb into the range pausing briefly at Geeveston Forest and Heritage Centre where we can observe some of the unique timber products produced by the master craftsman. Passing through the dry forest areas we arrive at the spectacular Tahune Forest Airwalk where we walk high above and through the tree tops some 20 metres above the forest floor. Your guide provides an interpretive walk before our barbeque lunch. This afternoon we return along the forest roads calling in at the impressive big tree before returning to Hobart through Ranelagh and around the base of Mount Wellington.

    Port Arthur Discovery Tour

Departing your city hotel, we travel around the historic birthplace of this fascinating city - Constitution Dock and Battery Point and across the Tasman Bridge to Sorell and onto Forestier and Tasman Peninsula. As we enter the Peninsula, we are greeted with breathtaking scenery. We visit the Tesselated Pavement, Tasman Arch, The Blowhole and the ruggedly beautiful coastline around Devil's Kitchen. Rejoining the vehicle after a short stroll we continue onto Port Arthur. The settlement was created to put fear and hatred into the minds of those unfortunate enough to be sent there. We visit the ruins of the settlement whilst hearing the tales of the hardships suffered by the convicts. We will board a short cruise around the harbour, and enjoy a light lunch before returning to the vehicle bound for Hobart. We arrive in the city around 1700.

Drive through the spectacular valleys along the Great Western Tiers, visit the historic township of Ross.Tonight experience a lantern lit ghost tour in a ghost town with a local story teller that brings history and stories of times past to life. In the morning, you may glimpse a platypus in the river. We drive east to Freycinet National Park. Walk the famous white sands of Wineglass Bay, then a leisurely drive to the fishing village of St. Helens. Tomorrow travel to the remote and rugged Mt William National Park our final tour destination.

    Spectacular Coastal Nature Experience Tour

Departing Hobart we travel across the Tasman Bridge and make our way through the eucalypt forests toward the coast. We travel though the rich farming lands before joining the emerald coastline pausing briefly to admire Great Oyster Bay enroute to the Freycinet Peninsula. Entering the National Park we climb to Cape Tourville and stroll the elevated walkway with its magnificent views over the Tasman Sea and Wineglass Bay. Returning to the vehicle we make our way to our evening meal venue. At the completion of dinner we make our way to Bicheno to observe the fairy penguins returning to their burrows after spending up to two days at sea, feeding. These delightful little creatures waddle all around us. We return to Hobart late evening after a memorable experience.
