Blackaby's Sea Kayaks can take you on a twilight, half day, day or extended tour in and around Hobart. You can choose from paddling around the Hobart Docks and historic Battery Point to exploring sandstone caves and the spectacular and rugged coastline of the Tasman Peninsula.
Tours can be tailored to suit, and we specialise in school and college training groups, and corporate and sporting groups.
All tours depart from Hobart and include free pickup and delivery.

    Coal Mines Historic Site & Norfolk Bay

    This tour takes you past sea cliffs,sea caves, lime green waters and weathered sandstone formations as you paddle around the historic Tasman Peninsula. You will visit the convict coal mine ruins on the northwest corner of the Peninsula at Saltwater River, and then head north to Lime Bay. Includes return transport to/from Hobart and a Hobart Airport shuttle service is available

    Fortescue Bay - One Day Kayaking Tour

    This tour takes you on a tour of the wild sea cliffs of Fortescue Bay, including the famous Candlestick, as you head along the rugged east coast of the Tasman Peninsula. You have the chance to hike to fabulous scenic vistas and/or snorkel around a shipwreck. Watch for fur seals and dolphins! Transport and meals are included. All equipment is supplied.

    Gordon River Wilderness Seven Day Kayaking

    The ultimate wilderness tour of Tasmania would not be complete without visiting the scenic wonders and tranquil waters of the mighty Gordon River at the end of Macquarie Harbor on Tasmania's wild west coast. You spend five days kayaking into the heart of the World Heritage Area. You will see platypus, Huon pine, ancient temperate rainforests and magnificent limestone gorges. The journey starts in Strahan with a boat trip across Macquarie Harbour, stopping off at Sarah Island, the site of one of the most horrific English convict prisons, and continuees to the mouth of the Gordon River.     Hobart - Derwent River and Docks Paddle

    This tour offers you a completely different way to see historic Hobart and its colourful docks area. You begin the paddle on the banks of the Derwent River, just walking distance from the centre of Hobart. You paddle around historic Battery Point and past Hobart Docks. The views from the water are magnificent - the historic city, the ships, yachts and fishing boats coming and going, and Mt Wellington. This tour is available as a morning, afternoon or sunset paddle. All equipment supplied.

    Hobart - Pedal and Paddle

    This tour takes on a gentle two hour sea kayak on the Derwent River, taking in Hobart's dock, historic Battery Point, and magnificent views of Mt Wellington from the water. Then you head to the pinnacle of Mt Wellingto, hop on a bike and zoom down the mountain back to the city.

    This tour offers a one day kayaking tour of Port Arthur Historic Site on the Tasman Peninsula in Tasmania's south east. You will explore the surrounding bays and history of Port Arthur, the most famous penal colony in Australia from 1830s to 1877. You have a chance to spot fur seals trying to steal fish from the nearby salmon farms. Transport and meals are included. All equipment is supplied.
