Cradle Mountain Day TourDeparting Launceston at 0830 and travelling west by four wheel drive vehicle our first stop is Ashgrove Farm to sample award-winning Tasmanian chesses before venturing on to Sheffield “Town of Murals” and view larger than life murals depicting stories, scenes and history of the area and its residents. From here we venture past Mt Roland towards Cradle Mountain National Park, passing through rainforest, eucalyptus forest, buttongrass plains and heaths and finally alpine meadows and moorland. The road winds into the wilderness towards Waldheim, where conservation pioneer Gustav Weindorfer lived and where from the shores of nearby Dove Lake, the Craggy profile of Cradle Mountain beckons. Short walks are available. On the return journey to Launceston we will call at Trowunna Wildlife Park where you can pat a koala, hold a baby wombat and watch Tasmanian devils being hand-fed. Knowledgeable guides provide an informative and interesting commentary. On leaving Trowunna we will stop at Chudleigh and visit The Honey Farm a taste the unique Tasmanian honey returning to Launceston at approximately 1700. Cradle Mountain Multi Day TourWe invite you to spend some time exploring this magnificent part of Tasmania. Whether your interest is history and heritage, nature or food and wine we can entertain you on this Tasmanian tour. Inclusions on this tour are two nights at Peppers Seaport Hotel B&B – Dinner inclusive, two nights at Cradle Mountain Chateau B&B – Dinner inclusive and four days guided touring. Highlights you will experience are the Gourmet Wilderness & Wildlife Tour, a day enjoying the Cradle Mountain alpine area and a visit to Trowunna Wildlife Park. Quoll Patrol TourDeparting Launceston we travel by four wheel drive to Tasmania's north east, passing through some spectacular mountain ranges and exploring some unique wilderness areas, stopping to view several natural wonders along the way. Passing by the foothills of Mt Ben Lomond with an amazing diversity of landscape we then venture over Roses Tier and down through the stunning Tombstone Creek Forest Reserve through magnificent old growth forest. We then find ourselves on private land, and our dinner destination where you will be introduced to a totally Tasmanian game food experience cooked and served by our own “Bush Chef”. Dinner will be served in a remote location with nature, where you will indulge some of Tasmania's finest in a relaxed environment with nature, and consumed while sipping on a glass of Tasmanian cool climate wine. After dinner, our objective is to view the bandit of the bush, the Eastern Quoll in its natural habitat, noted for its daring raids on the farmyard chicken house. These entertaining bush characters will totally delight you with their antics while providing an amazing close encounter with nature. Wildlife species you may also encounter are possums, wombats, kangaroos, wallaby, bettong, bandicoot, Tasmanian devil and others. Southern Comfort TourSouthern Tasmania is perfect for touring – so much diversity in one area. From the hub of cosmopolitan Hobart, several touring routes take you to regions that have their own flavour. The tour includes three nights at Henry Jones Art Hotel B&B (or similar), a Gourmet Wilderness and Wildlife Tour – Mt Field National Park and a day tour of the Huon Valley Region including Jet boats and Hasting Caves. Tamar Vineyard TourDeparting Launceston at 0900 we take a brief tour of the Launceston city sites and some of its many attractions such as the spectacular Cataract Gorge before making our way down the beautiful Tamar Valley to our first destination at Rosevears Estate. Here its time to kick start the senses and tempt the taste buds with Tassie's superb cool climate wines. Departing Rosevears our next stop is Strathlynn Vineyard overlooking the Tamar River and also our lunch destination, and your first introduction to some of Tasmania's unrivalled fresh local gourmet cuisine and wines, the resident chef Daniel Alps is recognised as one of Australia's best. After lunch its time to engage the taste buds and in cruise mode, with a continuation of the vineyard tour through out the beautiful Tamar Valley, one of the largest wine producing regions in Tasmania, renown for its subtle cool climate wines, as you sip and sample our way through several of Tasmania's premium vineyards. We continue our journey back up the east Tamar Valley calling into other vineyards of notoriety before returning to Launceston. Tassie Deluxe Golf and Lifestyle TourThis tour has five days and four nights of fabulous food, wine, wilderness, wildlife and golfing activities.
