Holiday Island Charters offers bareboat cruiser charter on Tasmania's Derwent River and D'Entrecasteaux Channel.
For years the Derwent and D'Entrecasteaux have been praised as Australia's best cruising ground, yet until now it was one of the few sheltered waters in Australia where holidaymakers were denied the opportunity to bareboat charter.
Bareboat chartering is the hire of a boat, (in this case a luxury cruiser), without the owner or a crewman watching over you. It is now possible to have the use of a nine metre (30 foot) fly bridge cruiser to yourself and five of your friends or family, to wander around the River Derwent and D'Entrecasteaux Channel. There is no need for a licence or previous experience of any kind. After a coaching session you will become the skipper and you are in control of your holiday.
