Huon Valley Backpackers
Huon Valley Backpackers is located in Tasmania's Huon Valley, just 45 minutes south of Hobart.
It’s fun meeting other travellers at this friendly hostel, where your friendly hosts try hard to ensure a pleasant visit. Situated on a small farm on top of a hill overlooking the peaceful Huon Valley, it is a great base to explore the area including Bruny Island and the South West West World Heritage Wilderness, and to earn some cash fruit picking or tending grape vines. Your hosts will help you find work between the end of November and the end of May and even drive you there each day. They’ll cook you breakfast in the morning in the cafe‚ and provide other tasty treats and drinks. You can buy other supplies at the handy shop.
After a hard days work picking, bushwalking, canoeing or touring the lovely surroundings revive by sinking into the spa bath or liven up by playing table tennis, eight ball or darts.
Huon Valley Backpackers has two ensuite rooms, two standard rooms with shared bathroom facilities and six dormitories with shared bathroom facilities.
