Anne's Old Rectory
Anne’s Old Rectory is a traditional bed and breakfast at Dover, southern Tasmania. Dover is an historic fishing village, an hour south west of Hobart (81 kilometres/50 miles).
Built in 1892 to house the local vicar, Anne’s Old Rectory is a beautifully restored colonial cottage in a garden setting. The property offers two double en suite rooms, each decorated in period style, and a shared sitting area which opens onto lush cottage gardens planted with fragrant flowers and shady trees. Soak up the country air and rural views from the porch – a lovely place to sit and enjoy your complimentary Devonshire tea or continental breakfast. Evening meals can also be provided; make arrangements with your hosts to sample a dish of locally-farmed salmon and other fresh Tasmanian produce.
Anne’s Old Rectory is a short walk to Dover’s shops, beaches and wharf. Stroll into town pick up a fresh loaf from the bakery, browse in the gallery or while away the morning in a café. You can launch your boat for a day’s fishing or visit nearby attractions include the Hastings Caves and thermal pool, Recherche Bay, Cockle Creek and the South Cape Walk and the historic Ida Bay Railway.
