The peaceful waterfront lodge has beautiful views over Esperance Bay (known to the locals as Dover Bay) with its three little islands Faith, Hope and Charity. The sheltered bay is excellent for boating, swimming and fishing. The quiet port of Dover is the perfect centre for exploring the Hartz Mountains, dense southern forests, magical Hastings Caves and soothing Thermal Pool.
Take the quaint little Ida Bay train to picnic on a deserted beach. Drive to Cockle Creek and follow the easy boardwalk track to stand on the wild coast of the most south-easterly corner of Tasmania. You'll appreciate the glowing wood heater in the guest lounge when you return exhilarated and refreshed by the clear air and wonderful scenery.
