The Southern Forest Cottage has two bedrooms appointed with two queen-sized beds and a bunk bed. Enjoy the large deck, open plan living and well-equipped kitchen. The forest and native garden is home to many birds, lizards, pademelons and other wildlife and ensures privacy in a relaxing environment.
The bed and breakfast option offers traditional hosted accommodation, suitable for up to six guests. Enjoy three spacious bedrooms as well as a private sunny deck. Breakfast includes homegrown produce, free range eggs, Tasmanian salmon, bircher muesli with local fruit and berries in season, and homemade bread and jams. The accommodation overlooks native forest and an organic garden.
The area offers great views of Adamsons Peak and the Southwest Ranges and is close to Hastings Caves with its pleasant thermal pool. You can also take a trip on the Ida Bay railway through bushland to the beautiful beach of Deep Hole.
Southport is about 90 minutes’ drive (100 kilometres/62 miles) from Hobart.
