Cloudy Bay Cabin offers waterfront self-contained log cabin accommodation on Bruny Island, south of Hobart.
Peace and quiet, the sea, sand and surf, and a log cabin built from timbers where they grew. Views across Cloudy Bay to the snow-capped south-west ranges. You might have to pinch yourself to believe that this beauty is real. Walk on the dunes, paddle in the creeks, watch the penguins return each evening to their burrows.
After a day or two, when you’ve accepted that all this is real, get into the hard work of wind surfing, canoeing, sailing, fishing, and surfing. Take the children to swim at Boat Harbour beach, and have a serene float yourself.
Cloudy Bay Cabin is surrounded by State Forest, South Bruny National Park and waterfront. The cabin runs on a solar power system, along with gas powered stove, refrigerator and water heating. All necessities are provided,such as bedding, towels, crockery and cutlery. And for those colder nights you can keep warm with either the cosy wood heater or gas heater.
Experiences nearby include bush and beach walks, swimming, fishing, boating, surfing, seclusion, wildlife, penguin and mutton-bird rookery within easy walking distance.
A minimum stay of two nights applies.
