Inala Country Accommodation
Inala Country Accommodation offers self-contained cottages on a private nature refuge on Bruny Island, Tasmania.
Two cottages are available: Inala, a three-bedroom cottage, and Nairana, a one-bedroom spa unit. The cottages are set on a 500 acre Land for Wildlife property- the perfect retreat for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts as well as families or couples wanting a taste of country living.
Both cottages have fully-equipped kitchens, laundries, and barbeque facilities. Inala’s master bedroom has a queen-size bed, the second two single beds, and the third has a single bed, set of bunks, cot, high chair and change table. Nairana is our luxury accommodation, featuring quality furnishings, Tasmanian timbers, and has been purpose-built to maximize bird and wildlife watching opportunities. The bedroom has a queen-size and single bed, and a double sofa bed is in the lounge/dining area.
”Inala”, aboriginal for a peaceful place, is aptly named. It is a haven for native flora and fauna and home to the endangered Forty-spotted pardalote and Grey goshawk. Over 90 species of birds, including all of the Tasmanian endemics, and almost 40 species of native orchids have been recorded here.
Walking tracks extend throughout the property, and guided tours are available.
