Tulendena -The Garden House offers self-contained accommodation at Kettering in southern Tasmania. Kettering is a 35-minute drive from Hobart (34 kilometres) on the Channel Highway.
The Garden House has two queen size bedrooms with garden views, a living and dining area, fully-equipped kitchen and separate bathroom with shower. The living room opens onto a terrace with views of the surrounding gardens and D'Entrecasteaux Channel. There is also a woodheater and underfloor heating. Fresh local produce, including free-range eggs and fruit in season, is included in the complementary breakfast on the first morning of your stay.
Tulendena has five acres of landscaped garden, which attracts an abundance of wildlife, including the rare forty-spotted Pardalote, a bird species endemic to Tasmania. The property is only a few minutes’ drive from the Bruny Island ferry terminal at Kettering. Other local attractions include the Tahune Air Walk, Hastings Caves, the Hartz Mountains and Snug Falls. Try sea kayaking, visit local wineries or join a cruise on the D’Entrecasteaux Channel.
