Huon Valley Apple Museum

The Huon Valley Apple Museum is located at Grove, southern Tasmania. Grove is five minutes' drive from Huonville and a 30-minute drive south of Hobart (40 kilometres).
At the Museum, housed in a converted apple packing shed, you can see exhibits depicting the history and life of early settlers in the Huon Valley. Browse the displays of 19th century antiques and memorabilia, restored agricultural machinery and carpenters’ and blacksmiths’ shops, and sample delicious apples from the selection of more than 500 varieties. You can choose a souvenir from the Apple Blossoms Gift Shop, or visit the Starving Artists’ Gallery. Here, work by Tasmanian painters, photographers, sculptors, wood designers, textile and glass artists is showcased in a continuing program of exhibitions.
The Huon Valley is known for its fresh produce, including fruit, mushrooms, wine and seafood. Every March, you can experience the ‘Taste of the Huon’ – a weekend celebration of fine food, wine, entertainment and the arts from the Huon Valley, D’entrecasteaux Channel and Bruny Island.
