Pelican Point Paca Products, located at Glen Huon west of Huonville, is an Alpaca farm industry.
The four acre property overlooks the Huon River and runs nine alpacas, with an on-farm wholesale outlet open to the public. You can experience the quiet alpacas up close by talking, touching, leading or feeding them. Get up close for some family photos with the alpacas, miniature horses and Netherland dwarf rabbits. Wander the property and feel free to ask your friendly hosts about farming practices of alpacas. Visit the wholesale outlet where you can touch the soft and luxurious products that come from the alpacas.
While you’re in the area, why not visit the Glen Huon Deer Farm, the Karma Studio just one kilometre back in Glen Huon or travel on to Judbury where you’ll find another alpaca farm just five kilometres away.
Pelican Point Paca Products was established firstly in the West Tamar Valley before moving to Glen Huon, 10 minutes’ drive west of Huonville in 2008. From Hobart, allow around 45 minutes’ driving time to get to Glen Huon in southern Tasmania.
