Tudor Court Model Village
The Tudor Court Model Village is an open air museum at Grove, in Tasmania’s Huon Valley. Grove is five minutes' drive from Huonville, and a 30-minute drive south of Hobart (40 kilometres).
The Tudor Court Model Village is located at Grove's Apple Valley Centre. The Village is a detailed replica of a Tudor village, with thatched cottages, a windmill and ruins. The Apple Valley Centre also includes the German Model Train World and Apple Valley Arts and Crafts, where you can buy locally produced artefacts, gifts and cool-climate wines. You can also sample freshly made snacks at the Apple Valley Teahouse.
There are a number of museums and galleries in the Huon Valley and D’Entrecasteaux Channel district. You can visit the Huon Valley Apple and Heritage Museum at Huonville, the Forest and Heritage Centre at Geeveston or the Regnans Gallery at Peppermint Bay, Woodbridge. See local artisans at work at the Woodfired Pottery at Huonville, or the Woodbridge Hill Handweaving Studio and Gardens at Woodbridge.
