Kingston Beach Golf Club
The Kingston Beach Golf Club is one of Tasmania’s leading 18-hole golf courses. Kingston Beach is a 15 minute drive south of Hobart (14 kilometres).
The Kingston Beach Golf Club winds through river flats where Browns River enters the sea, and is edged with eucalypts and light bushland. This flat, easy walking course is framed with views of the Mount Wellington Range, river and ocean and presents a combination of testing par threes, strategic par fives and delightful par fours. There are numerous bunkers, water comes into play on six holes and the elevated green on the 16th is framed by bunkers and a large pine tree, which may test the ability of many golfers. An inclinator carries players up to the 18th tee.
The Club has hire and practice facilities, a resident golf professional and a stunning clubhouse, built in 1830 and known as the Red House. Founded in 1922, the Club has hosted many major state and national events and the course is a proclaimed wildlife sanctuary. Men’s competitions are held every Wednesday and Saturday and a ladies’ competition each Tuesday and Thursday. Bookings advised.
