The Batman Fawkner Inn provides historic hotel accommodation in northern Tasmania’s city of Launceston. Situated in the heart of the city, the Batman Fawkner is a few minutes’ walk from the city’s many restaurants and attractions.
Room options range from twin share through to family rooms. Twin share rooms consist of two single beds and there are double rooms available with dual double beds. Triple share rooms have a double bed and an additional set of bunks or two single beds. The family rooms can accommodate up to six adults with two double beds and two sets of bunks in a separate room. All rooms have an en suite, fridge, television and heating. Built in 1822, the hotel has retained much of the flavour from pioneering times while today providing you with modern comforts.
Take a 20-minute walk to the Cataract Gorge where you will find a dramatic rocky cleft, cool green park and wandering peacocks. You can take a cruise on the Tamar River or pamper your body at the Aquarius Roman Baths. Try your hand fly-fishing at Launceston Lakes and then enjoy a relaxed dining experience at Fawkner Club.
