Strathesk House provides self-contained accommodation in a National Trust classified precinct of Launceston, northern Tasmania.
Choose from three townhouse options, all fully self-contained. Each has one bedroom, suitable for two guests and a fully equipped kitchen. The James Boag’s Coach House, built in Neo-Georgian style is filled with period memorabilia and modern comforts. The bathroom is appointed with a spa bath and laundry facilities are available. Kathleen’s Cottage is a quaint, Baltic pine-lined Victorian cottage with a cosy living space. Violet’s is the third accommodation option and has a three-corner spa set in a European bathroom. There is a private putting green for those keen to brush up on their golfing skills. Delightful views of the private garden can be enjoyed from most windows. There is wood fire heating, generous breakfast provisions, wireless broadband and a swimming pool.
Spend time exploring the city centre where you will find boutique shops, art galleries and museums as well as peaceful city parks. Spoil yourself with a trip to the Roman Baths or walk through the beautiful parklands at Cataract Gorge. Plan a day tour of the Tamar Valley Wine Route and perhaps stay for dinner at one of the cool-climate vineyards.
