Old Mac's Farm & Fishery
Old Mac's Farm & Fishery is located close to the centre of Launceston in northern Tasmania. It is ideal for a weekend, after work and a whole family getaway.
It is situated on a 44 hectare picturesque site including a large lake to fish from. The Fishery features large numbers of rainbow trout weighing up to six kilograms to tempt those keen fisherman or even the beginner. Old Mac’s Farm & Fishery is just minutes from the centre of Launceston and fly fishing lessons are available by appointment.
The Animal Nursery is home to animals great and small from miniature pigs to alpacas, baby foals, miniature donkeys and more. You can walk amongst lambs, goats and chickens for a great hands on experience that allows you to pat, cuddle, feed and get up close to all the animals. The Nursery is not just a favourite for the children but for people of all ages and the farm and fishery has full disability access. The farm offers fresh farm eggs and strawberries in season.
Horse trail rides and riding lessons are available by appointment. At Old Mac’s Farm & Fishery you are guaranteed a great day and is very affordable.
