Waverley Australia

Waverley Australia is a woollen mill located just outside of Launceston, northern Tasmania.
This woollen mill, established in 1874, is the oldest in Australia. It is located on the original site on the banks of Distillery Creek near the city of Launceston.
A tour guide, with the aid of visual aids, will guide you through the fascinating process of 'fleece to fabric' prior to your tour through the Warping and Weaving areas.
At the conclusion of your tour the mill shop offers a large range of superb pure wool and mohair blankets, throw rugs, scarves, shawls, woollen doonas and under-lays. Craft materials are also for sale at factory prices.
Waverley Australia is located at Waverley just five minutes’ drive (4 kilometres/2.5 miles) out of Launceston.
