Southern Cross Country is a Tasmanian clothing designer and manufacturer at Hillwood, northern Tasmania.
Southern Cross Country is a family-owned company specialising in a range of lightweight waterproof coats, vests and jackets. Made from innovative Australian fabrics, including a soft-shell, breathable waterproof fabric created with merino wool, the garments are manufactured on-site and shipped across Australia and internationally.
The garments are designed for maximum warmth and weather protection, compact well for travelling and are available in a range of colours. You can visit the Southern Cross Country showroom to see the garments being made and to make your choice from the range.
Hillwood is located in Tasmania’s Tamar Valley. You can visit the nearby Hillwood Strawberry Farm to taste a range of delicacies, including delicious fruit wines. The Tamar Valley is also one of Tasmania’s premier wine producing regions. You can take the Tamar Valley Wine Route to visit local vineyards and wineries and sample Tasmania’s fine cool climate wines at the cellar door.
Hillwood is a half-hour drive north of Launceston (33 kilometres/20.5 miles) on the eastern shore of the Tamar River.
