This six-day Overland Track walk across the roof of Tasmania offers you a rare privilege - the chance to experience one of the world’s most ancient landscapes formed more than 150 million years ago, normally accessible only to the hardiest walkers.
At the end of each day you sleep in a cosy private environmentally-sensitive cabin and relax with a hot shower. As the sun sets across the button grass plains, you relax in the glow of gaslight and candles to enjoy a hearty three-course meal and Tasmanian wine. Your Tasmanian guides have real love for this ancient wild place and will make sure you are never hurried. Their knowledge of the landscape, plant and animal life ensures you a rich and informative journey.
Tour costs include all transport, knowledgeable and sensitive guides, meals, accommodation, park fees, Overland Track fee and the use of a Goretex jacket, backpack and sleeping bag for the duration of the walk.

Six Day Overland Track Walking TourThe six day Overland Track walking tour takes you on a superb wilderness walk. You will journey between Cradle Mountain and Lake St Clair. Glacial lakes, ice-carved crags, alpine shrubbery, waterfalls and tall forests are some of the sights you will see on this scenic six-day wilderness walk. The walk is graded moderate and you will not feel rushed. There is time to admire the scenery, smell the wildflowers and watch the wallabies. You can climb Mt Ossa, the highest point in Tasmania, or stately Mt Pelion East if you wish. Accommodation is in secluded, comfortable cabins with hot showers, fresh-baked afternoon tea and strong-brewed coffee. Dinner is a splendid three-course meal prepared by your guides, so you can relax and reflect on your day of discoveries and contemplate the next day in this mountain paradise. Your six day walk will begin at Waldheim before moving to Barn Bluff Hut. From here, day two will take you to Pine Forest Moor, followed by Pelion Hut, Kia Ora Hut and Windy Ridge Hut on day five. The final night will be spent at Lake St Clair. The maximum group size is 10 guests. | |
