Cradle Mountain Day TourExperience the magical splendour that is Cradle Mountain. Discover the natural beauty of this World Heritage listed National Park. See amazing waterfalls, rainforest, glacial lakes and King Billy pine forests, thousands of years old. Travel through historical towns, past Australian Blue Gum and pine plantations. Visit Sheffield to view the stunning town murals. Browse the Cradle Mountain visitor centre before choosing from the spectacular walks, such as the Enchanted Forest to see the pencil pine, lush forest and a beautiful waterfall and Dove Lake, with spectacular views of Cradle Mountain. There is a great chance to see famous native wild life such as wombats, potaroos and wallabies. Visit the Waldheim Chalet, the forest home of Austrian born pioneer, Gustav Weindorfer before returning to Launceston, stopping at Ashgrove Cheese Farm to sample some of Tasmania's finest cheeses. Freycinet National Park TourPass through the coal mining region of the Break-O'Day plains to the 150 year old town of St Mary's for morning tea (at own cost). Travel the famous St Mary's pass, a convict-built path joining the eastern highlands with the coast. Then go on to the sealing and whaling town of Bicheno and the blowhole. Pass through Coles Bay, the gateway to Freycinet National Park - with its renowned white, silica rich beaches and colourful granite rock formations of the Hazards and Freycinet Peninsula. You will have a choice of a challenging walk to the lookout or drive to the lighthouse for awe-inspiring views of Wineglass Bay, the beach said to be in the top ten best in the world. Launceston Look-About TourThis tour gives you a fantastic overview of Australia's third oldest city, some of its magnificent early architecture, history and heritage. Visit the Macaque monkey park, floral gardens and conservatory. At Seahorse World your guide will provide an interpretive tour of the world's first seahorse farm, and the amazing life of the seahorse, with an introduction to the live marine creatures in their touch tank. Return to the gold-mining town of Beaconsfield for a museum tour and view of current mining operations.
